We have the following dashboards:

1. Control Tower

   This dashboard helps track and manage container shipments. Key features include:

   • Container Statuses: Tracks delays and transit times, categorizing containers as "Delay", "On Time", "Early", or "Insufficient Information".
   • Vessels on Journey: Visualizes all vessels in active journey and their status in a map view.
   • Detailed Statistics: Offers statistical data on container milestones, location, carrier performance, and most used routes.
   • Dwell Time Risk: Identifies containers dwell time at POL, POT, POD.

   Users can filter data by organization, port, country, carrier, container uploaded date range and containers affected by risk incidents (e.g. conflict, weather, or port disruptions)

2. Transit Time

   This dashboard provides an overview of transit times for shipments, grouped by carriers. It breaks down transit time analytics into:

   • Absolute difference between planned and actual transit time
   • Planned scheduled transit time
   • Actual transit time (calculated based on actual departure from POL and actual arrival at POD)

   Users can filter data by organization, port, country, carrier, and type of journey (direct or with transshipment).

3. Exceptions

   This dashboard offers insights into containers at different risk stages during their journey. It focuses on:

   • Containers At Risk: Identifies containers facing potential delays or issues.
   • Overall Exceptions Threshold Distribution: Shows the distribution of various risk types across all ports.
   • Container Events Data: Details on individual containers at risk.

   Exceptions are flagged and categorized based on any of the following risk categories:

   • POL- Risk of Late Departure: Calculated based on idle time from gate-in to being loaded on the vessel.
   • POT - Rollover Risk: Calculated based on idle time from discharge to loading for shipments at transfer ports.
   • POD - Demurrage Risk: Calculated based on idle time from discharge to gate-out at the destination port.
   • POD - Detention Risk: Calculated based on time containers wait to be returned after unloading.

   Users can filter data by organization, exception event type, port, customer, and container upload date range.

4. Accuracy

   This dashboard helps monitor the accuracy of Portcast’s predictions versus carriers’ ETA and ETD. Key performance indicators covered:

   • On Time Percentage Arrival: Percentage of estimations that fall within a certain time range around the actual arrival or departure time and accuracy range in days
   • Median Absolute Error: Median of error based on ATA minus ETA across time ahead of actual arrival.
   • Error Distribution: Distribution of error based on ATA minus ETA
   • Conservative Prediction Accuracy: Percentage of predictions that are accurate, more than or within threshold for being early that ATA

   Users can filter data by organization, data provider (i.e. Portcast or carrier), route, carrier, time period grouping, and prediction created date range.

5. Coverage and Latency

   This dashboard helps monitor the coverage and latency of data provided by Portcast. Key performance indicators covered:

   • Coverage: Percentage of records that have events covered
   • Median Latency: Latency (in hours) of difference between actual event timestamp and timestamp when event was provided by Portcast to user
   • Latency within Threshold: Percentage of latency that falls within threshold

   For coverage and median latency, records can be compared based on events, carrier, organization and date range.
